Is the philosophy of non-duality compatible with human relationships?
A talk followed by a meditation practice session, given and led by the Warden of Shanti Sadan
About this event:
Human relationships must include more than one person, so is involvement in relationships possible if our aim is to discover the one reality underlying all appearances?
It is said that detachment and equanimity must be cultivated to make progress to inner illumination. Does this mean we should not be caring and committed towards those around us?
A clear answer to these questions reveals the depth and subtlety of the non-dual teachings on human nature and our highest potentials.
They help us find inner peace and balance and to progress towards the true Self-discovery which brings lasting fulfilment and freedom from fear.
This will be the subject of the talk by the Warden of Shanti Sadan, school of traditional non-duality.
Following on from the talk will be a meditation session, with a set of traditional non-dual practices, which we can learn and take up regularly for ourselves.
The meeting assumes no prior knowledge or experience and is suitable for beginners in meditation and non-dual study.
Experienced meditators will also find material for further reflection and discovery.
If you would like to keep in touch after the session about your own experiences in meditation and non-dual enquiry, you are welcome to do so.
This event is free (and always will be!) Everyone welcome.
