Daily Meditation – Inner Preparation
Each set of meditation practices begins with an inner preparation.
The point is to come to the meditation in the right spirit, or the right attitude, just as we would to any important engagement.
We will all find our own way of making this adjustment, for now, here is a formula we can adopt:
Approach the meditation with reverence and calmness. Feel that you are in the presence of Truth, within and around you. Mentally bow to that invisible power.
Or you may prefer this form:
We sit knowing that our experience, here and now as at all times, is revealed and sustained by that deeper reality in which we live and move and have our being. Reverence to that invisible power within and around us.
